Maintenance and Repair

Motor Pool

Steps to performing maintenance on State Vehicles

The Motor Pool program uses state cooperative contracts (agreements between the government and businesses) to purchase, then lease vehicles to state agencies. These vehicles are maintained via a statewide network of contracted vendors that provide services including preventative maintenance, service and repairs.

Determining the type of service needed

The Division of Fleet Operations provides comprehensive vehicle maintenance and repair programs and operates a Vehicle Services Center (VSC) to provide vehicle maintenance and repair authorization for full-service leased vehicles, providing a 24-hour helpline for any service or repair unrelated to an accident. Drivers of a State Vehicle involved in accidents must follow a unique accident procedure with Risk Management.

If you need repairs, towing or service, the VSC is available 24 hours a day to assist you at (855) FLT-UTAH (358-8824).

An accident report must be submitted anytime there is: A Vehicle vs. Vehicle, Vehicle vs. an Animal or Person, A Vehicle vs. an Object, Vandalism, Any incidents when occurrence of damage is UNKNOWN. Click below for more information or to file an accident report.
