Did you know...?
- From Sept. 2006 through June 2007, large passenger van accidents have decreased 32%.
- Did you know that aggressive driving uses an average of 31% more fuel?
- Speeding uses an average 12 % more fuel. Drive the speed limit.
- Using cruise control at the speed limit can save you an average 7% on your fuel consumption.
- Speeding is the #1 cause of accidents nation wide. Slow down.
- State of Utah #1 cause of accidents in fiscal year 2007 is Backing.... use a spotter if possible, better yet use the drive thru option.
- Number 1 pet peeve of drivers, cell phones, number 2, tailgaters. Remember SB 17 that passed at Legislature 2007 has enacted a Distracted Driving bill as a secondary offense.
Course Descriptions
- Avoiding Aggressive Drivers - not required - at option 1 to 2 hour presentation
- NSC Coaching the Van Driver II - required every 2 years if you drive a large passenger van - 4 hour training
- NSC Defensive Driving Course 4 - required after 2 preventable accidents within 5 years or if more than 70 points on driving record and must drive a large passenger van - 4 hour training
- Risk Management Defensive Driver Training (DDT) - required every 3 years unless driving is your job then required yearly
- Winter Driving - not required - at option - 1 to 2 hour presentation
- Coaching the Experienced Driver - not required - at option - 4 hour training
- The Emotional Wreck Driver - not required - at option - 1 to 2 hour presentation
- Driven to Distraction - not required - at option - 1 to 2 hour presentation
- Backing Safety - not required - at option - 1 to 2 hour presentation
