ARI
ARI was chosen by DFO due, in part, to their current customer list which includes a wide variety of fleet types, ranging from government entities to delivery services and utility companies. It was felt that this type of experience would enhance the Division's level of customer service.
Another area where ARI excels is their vendor list. Several well known nationwide companies, as well as respected local vendors, are part of the ARI vendor network. This enables our customers to choose from a broad range of service locations. This enhances the comfort level and convenience factor for our customers.
Being monitored for customer service skills, quality control, accuracy, and integrity, is all part of being listed as a vendor of the ARI company, or as one of their many call center technicians. ARI encourages their customers to play a vital part in this monitoring process by asking that they contact the company with any customer service issues.
ARI requires Automotive Services Excellence (ASE) training for all of their call center technicians. This is an industry standard that ensures that you will receive the most knowledgeable and customer friendly services available.
Benefits of Using ARI
ARI offers many services to drivers of fleet vehicles—services that used to be handled by several different sources.
- 24-hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year vehicle maintenance approval services.
- A nationwide vendor network for repairs, preventive maintenance, and emergency vehicle towing.
- 7% cost savings on overall maintenance.
- The ability to capture post warranty repair dollars.
Why Outsource
It was discovered that DFO customers were experiencing:
- Slower than acceptable response time due to high customer call volume.
- Limited access to vendors.
- The need to reduce maintenance and repair costs.
- Poor access to 24-hour towing services.
DFO found that outsourcing the program could save the Division money by:
- Freeing up full time employees to handle other duties. This means there is no longer a need to hire more employees.
- ARI's negotiations power will reduce costs across the board.
- Let management focus on other issues, allowing for better, quicker resolutions to problems.
- Quality control issues will be minimized.
For more information, please refer to the Drivers Operating Manual provided by ARI.
How It Works
An ARI Driver Operating Packet should be kept in the vehicle at all times. Enclosed in the packet you will find the following:
Program Information Pullout
This details your responsibility to maintain your vehicle. The procedures are indexed by subject heading for quick reference. A list of National Account Vendors is also listed on the back inside cover of the coupon book.
P/M Coupon Book
This is to be used exclusively for routine preventive maintenance with mileage intervals and service requirements preprinted on each coupon. If you have already passed the initial mileage intervals, please destroy the coupons which no longer apply. ARI has developed these service requirements, together with the automobile manufacturers, to ensure:
- safe operation of all vehicles;
- that all warranty requirements are met; and,
- that maintenance costs are prudently managed for your company.
These coupons will serve as purchase orders for the routine maintenance listed on each coupon, so a phone call is not required. However, you are always encouraged to call ARI's certified service technicians, should you have any service questions or concerns about the operation of your vehicle.
Non-Routine Maintenance and Repairs
These types of requests are handled by certified service technicians by simply calling 1-800-CAR-CARE. Call prior to taking your vehicle in for any unscheduled service to discuss problems or concerns that you may have with your vehicle. To authorize repair, ARI's service technician will speak directly to the authorized service facility.
